We can smell the blackberries too, ours will be ripe in August…. They are a fragrance I associate with summer too! I freeze plenty, and then make jam in the fall/winter….get to smell the same summery fragrance again as the kettle is simmering!

For me the taste of summer is wild blackberries. When it’s hot out and they are fully ripe there is a distinct smell in the air, which I equate to the taste of summer! I love strawberries also…

Very pretty. Colour matching is always the hardest bit. I usually give up and go for contrast!

Thanks Katie! I liked the color combination too… Not much color, more of a neutral piece. We’ll see if the look changes once I add the ribbon on the edges.
